This is quite a new area for the UK. It may be common for tales of American celebrities to sign pre-Nuptual agreements to save millions if a couple splits at a later date -  but really, its not very British, is it? No UK Court is obliged to take account of any pre-Nuptual or Co-Habitation Agreement, so why bother? Well, there have been some very high profile divorce cases recently where the Judge has looked at the parties relationship in more global terms.

By having an Agreement the intention of the parties is made very clear, and Judge's are likely to look at that when coming to settle finances. Even if there is no civil partnership or marriage, an Agreement can be useful if you do split and want to sort finances out without the need for legal advice.

It is also a good means of ensuring that you both know where you stand. Agreements can cover any thing that matters in your relationship from complicated financial agreements to whose job it is to take the bin out.

There is no such thing as a standard Agreement, we can draft and develop one that meets all of your needs.
